This activity is designed to have your students engage with German film - an important cultural product - by using a couple of simple tools to narrate film clips in the target language. Using Quicktime (software that is already found and accessible on a Mac), you as the instructor can prepare a film clip for your students; students can then use Quicktime to record their own audio, and iMovie to add their audio narration to the clip.
Students work collaboratively to write a Wikipedia article in Portuguese, requiring them to develop skills that transcended normal language instruction, from real-world cultural research to foreign-language computer coding. Each student will be responsible for individually authoring a section of the Wikipedia page, 400-450 words, using at least three citations.
